Call to Order

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m.

Public Comment

 

High School Liaison Colin Bibbs spoke about the high school band, choir, photographer and honor society participating at the Memorial Day Parade. He asked for an official invite to be sent to the teachers. Mr. Bibbs also spoke with numerous Boy Scout Troops who want to help with the Field of Honor.

Ex-Officio Report

 

No updates, all proper permits are completed for the Memorial Day Parade and Field of Honor.

Motion to approve the minutes from 3/4/2025 meeting.

Memorial Day Parade:

 

Still working on Grand Marshall, Francis Roche and Bob Jurva were asked about becoming the Grand Marshall.

The flyer will be worked on before the next meeting.

Arbor Laclave was denied a flyover from the airbase for the day of the parade.

The VEC purchased a new flag to be carried by a group during the parade.

Colin Bibbs believes some high school photographers will be willing to take pictures of the parade.

The banner has been updated/cleaned and will be placed over the road downtown Royal Oak on Main St.

Field of Honor

 

Flags still need to be checked. Colin Bibbs spoke with Boy Scout Troops who are willing to help.

Royal Oak High School Liaison

 

Bylaws have been updated for a high school liaison position and will be sent to the Royal Oak City Commision.
